Days 15 & 16|:
Juno's the best.
But his commercial is pretty bomb too. So many memorable scenes o' Beetlejuice, whats your favorite part?
Photos of the rest of the journal (I just added these to an already existing piece) and its sale site here.

Days 11 through Fourteen|:
More from Tumblr:
Transfers are fun, because since the subject is fairly easy to graft onto your surface, you're not afraid to experiment.
And they have this cool aged look.
And they're too much freakin' fun!
Same image, again!
Ink jet AND toner friendly!
If you're in Fallbrook, go check out all the art galleries. They're featuring student works, and a buddy submitted an awesome installation that looks vaguely like this only its real!
All done with the catching up!

Days Six through 10|:
Retrieved from Tumblr:
“What Harry Potter did you not like?”
“The one where…where…wizards.”
“Which one!?”
“The one where... Dumblepuff fights... Snakeface!”
Go read Wug Wugs. Someday I will be able to draw people and it will look like them.
He has cool shirts.
Leonard Nimoy has the best autobiography titles.
I was very disappointed by the movie It. Tim Curry was really awesome, though!

Days Two through Five|:
Go see Black Swan if you have not already. It is entirely worthy of being seen on the big screen, yadda yadda yadda, I am certain that everyone has heard all about it already.
Here I decided to emphasize the limited palette within the film by taking color out all together, and the "peeling" and "shedding skin" elements that made this movie an excellent body-horror.
More Black Swan, because I can. Same photo reference, this time emphasizing the hard and soft nature of Portman's character, featuring actual cracks 'n feathers!
I don't know what the heck is going on with the spacing yet so...here's Toki and Skwisgaar. My mom likes to paint. She'd always let me touch her paintings because I didn't hurt them or anything, and kinda got used to the idea of being able to touch all the art I want so long as my fingers were immaculate. I wish the museums understood how enchanting it is to touch 'em...yadda yadda. We all know why you can't, but I give all of you a reason to do so.
Because painting textures isn't fun and feeling them is, you all have my permission to grope all that I make. They're made for it!
Day One|: The Art of Flattery
Uprooted from its original resting place on the aforementioned Tumblr, the first of about 14 catch-up posts. Beware, they will be long.
--------------------------------------------------------
Since I am a jobless teenager, I have very little funds to go about doing social activities. I do my best to make due with the money I come across, but mostly do my best to sell on Etsy. Unfortunately, people are generally more receptive and apt to purchase work based on things they know rather than what is unique and original.
So I cater to them. A frequent movie-goer, I watch all sorts o things. Seeing no other Necronomicons on the market, I made one. It was a sure sale—a true double whammy. Those that were fond of H.P. Lovecraft’s work would see it as the Book of the Dead, those that are fond of the cult classic Evil Dead series will see it as the book in the second installation.
Imitation is the best form of flattery, after all.
Not to toot my own horn, but apparently I do a damn good imitation. The guy who invented the design of the original book thought so.
Long story short, I was contacted this morning with the threat of being sued. It’s shocking, really. I had to take down and refund a couple of these that I sold, so I guess I’m stuck with two of these journals.
It was a less than fun start to the new year, to say the least.
I’m doing my best to take it as flattery.

- I replicated a professional design well enough to be sued for it.
- He said “Your group are talented” at the end of his complaint email.
- He felt so threatened by me he didn’t complain to Etsy, but to his attorney first.
The Migration|: The Statement
After fiddling around on Tumblr for a while, I discovered it was not the "blog" for me. It's rather fast paced, more about posting as much interesting stuff as possible in a Robot Chicken-esque way. Not what I intend to do with this. Below is a graft from my Tumblr account.
-------------------------
I’ve never followed through with a personal goal.
Despite being somewhat lazy, I’ve always had high grades, been relatively thin and bathe regularly. Having a New Year’s resolution has never been particularly necessary, so I’ve never followed through with one.
I never really followed through on anything*, actually.
Because of the limited amount of new decades one has in their lifetime, I decided to change all of this by beginning an art blog thing. Who knows, maybe I’ll get some encouragement (or troll'd!), but mainly, its a tangible way to keep myself from...cheating myself.
*Because I never have anything to fall through on. Of course I mean something substantial, not like keeping a date with a friend, plans to watch a movie, or any variety of painting.
SO, here it is:

SO, here it is:
I’m going to post one piece of art every day for the whole year.
- If it’s an idea, it must have a clear direction and the full work must be brought to fruition within 10 days.
- If it’s a doodle it must be outlined, shaded and implied indication of shading, texture or color.
- If its abstract, it must be on a high quality surface.
- Posting of artwork I have done prior to today must be substantially touched up to count for a new submission.
- Explorations of new techniques must convey an intricate color story and or concept.
- Fan art counts as art—but don’t get sued**.
- Inside jokes can be made into scenario art but only if the situation is explainable.
- Collaborative artwork must add up to at least 50% if the piece
- Pieces done in art journals do count as art, so long as its specified that it was done out of need rather than for the sake of this blog. Subsequently, bonus points are awarded to those made for this blog thing because it goes towards the goal rather than social obligation things.
- Although this is necessary, it should never be perceived as a chore.
Go Forth and Art!
