After fiddling around on Tumblr for a while, I discovered it was not the "blog" for me. It's rather fast paced, more about posting as much interesting stuff as possible in a Robot Chicken-esque way. Not what I intend to do with this. Below is a graft from my Tumblr account.
-------------------------
I’ve never followed through with a personal goal.
Despite being somewhat lazy, I’ve always had high grades, been relatively thin and bathe regularly. Having a New Year’s resolution has never been particularly necessary, so I’ve never followed through with one.
I never really followed through on anything*, actually.
Because of the limited amount of new decades one has in their lifetime, I decided to change all of this by beginning an art blog thing. Who knows, maybe I’ll get some encouragement (or troll'd!), but mainly, its a tangible way to keep myself from...cheating myself.
*Because I never have anything to fall through on. Of course I mean something substantial, not like keeping a date with a friend, plans to watch a movie, or any variety of painting.
SO, here it is:

SO, here it is:
I’m going to post one piece of art every day for the whole year.
- If it’s an idea, it must have a clear direction and the full work must be brought to fruition within 10 days.
- If it’s a doodle it must be outlined, shaded and implied indication of shading, texture or color.
- If its abstract, it must be on a high quality surface.
- Posting of artwork I have done prior to today must be substantially touched up to count for a new submission.
- Explorations of new techniques must convey an intricate color story and or concept.
- Fan art counts as art—but don’t get sued**.
- Inside jokes can be made into scenario art but only if the situation is explainable.
- Collaborative artwork must add up to at least 50% if the piece
- Pieces done in art journals do count as art, so long as its specified that it was done out of need rather than for the sake of this blog. Subsequently, bonus points are awarded to those made for this blog thing because it goes towards the goal rather than social obligation things.
- Although this is necessary, it should never be perceived as a chore.
Go Forth and Art!
